We'll start with wind power.

Booney is a sly old bugger (I won't say windbag). He wouldn't happen to have a very large vested financial interest in subsidised windmills, now would he??

Anyone who thinks that wind is a panacea needs to read this..

Wind and solar are niche energy sources and will remain so, no matter how much you wish and dream otherwise.

And contrary to your sadly misguided and touchingly naive faith in government mandated, subsidised and directed "solutions" to the energy mess we're in, the best that government can do is to just get the hell out of the way and allow the companies that provide real energy solutions to get on with their business.
