I really don't think there's any big conspiracy to promote REFR stock by SI admins. My guess: Since there is a tremendous amount of spamming by the "N. Dixon" alias which generates controversy, messages, and page views, they probably just did that to deliberately stir the pot and increase views even more, which would imply a tiny bump in ad revenues.

Look at it this way, REFR is one of, if not THE oldest micro-cap stock fraud. Even so, the amount of money stolen from investors over the past half century doesn't even show up on radar when compared to the crimes committed by say.. investment banks over the past decade, so who really cares anymore?

Consider as well that many REFR victims are simply old retired guys who have nothing better to do than argue on the internet all day. If they weren't blowing their money on REFR stock, they'd probably be at the dog track.

By now, there is enough history on the REFR stock fraud that any potential new investor doing an internet search will be able to figure it out for himself in 5 minutes. And quite frankly, if they are still stupid enough to invest anyway, then I have no sympathy. They deserve to get taken.

So not to worry, the SI admins are not going to make any money tweeting about REFR. In fact, the only people who will continue to make money are the executives/insiders who rely on selling REFR stock to pay their salaries, and the d-list stock newsletters who are paid fees by the company to promote the stock.
