Sorry, no. I haven't seen their comments or the context in which they were made. Obviously both companies are going to put a positive spin on things from their own perspectives regardless of what motivated or who initiated the move. My personal view is that this is just a blip in EMC's progress and provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to initiate or increase their position in EMC. I've long felt that EMC could be bought at any price for those with a 2+ year horizon and pullbacks like this just strengthen that conviction.
