TPVG again issues new shares. Stock has come down recently, and dropped today to the underwriting price of $13.65 (which I didn't see) and now back up to $13.95 - at which price I did see and added a small amount to my position. Company makes loans to "venture growth stage" companies. For years it's paid $.36 quarterly, so the yield is now a bit over 10%.

I am comfortable putting money in this company-- investing primarily for the dividend and yield. But perhaps I fool myself: I've no real insight to the workings of the company or its prospects. It's a false comfort. I can let the stock price and yield suck me into buying more shares and so reduce my cash, but it's no substitute for cash.
