Bill, Re: If you lack the smarts to understand what Intel has done ...

You are so predictable(impling others are dump, stupid, not
smart to support your argument).

>So Intel has denied AMD $75 and in so doing has cost Intel
>$1900 in lost profits
Didn't I say don't give me this ? It is not convincing.

>Even so AMD has gained share and now the equation is around
>20% AMD CPUs and 15% others CPUs and 65% Intel CPUs
Hello, I believe about 20M CPU was sold last quarter, 20% of
it would be 4M which doesn't match the figure AMD released.

>Note the analysts have downgraded Intel for these reasons
>and for the risks of the new celeronette
Based on Glenn's post, most analysts recently upgraded Intel
but I then I never give them any credit(upgrade or downgrade).

>The new celerone will not do very well untila socket version is >available
How about define what do you mean by 'very well' ? It is too
vague, let's have some figure.

>unless AMD makes a counter part to it in the K7.
This K7 story is the most interesting. It is now August 98
and there is still very little detail about it and AMD is
saying it will be available in 99.
