I used to own BAY, and although House wasnt as bad as the previous east/west Bay combo, he wasnt that effective either. His first quarter after taking over the job produced great results. Then BAY floundered and lost even more market share to CSCO. When NT finally bought BAY, everyone, myself included was thoroughly relieved. NT shareholder's paid the price as most analysts panned the move. It took a couple of great quarters, big contracts, and a name change to finally move the stock up.
If youve ever seen David House on TV, he's a terrible communicator and always seems nervous. He doesnt exactly thrive under pressure. If youre goal is mediocrity, oftentimes, that's all you'll get.
This is not the man to lead CPQ...... just because we're down, doesnt mean we have to settle for an also-ran CEO. |
