someone finds the scores for all the citizens of a city and averages them????

Remember, credit agencies have scores on everyone who applies for credit. All they have to do is sort by zip code and average.

Problem with the avg credit score is not everyone applies for credit. There's no way Detroit's population should score higher than Austin's - just look at the income levels I posted from wikipedia or the percents living in poverty. Those cities are just chosen as glaring examples. The "averages" therefore don't mean much .... an awful lot of people have to be left out. IOW a bull shit exercise.
