Hi dabum trois!

Dang it, I like it when a smart guy like you agrees with me. So that even if I'm a fool, I've got good company.

My damn chin dropped the other night when I was vegging and just watching Bloomberg TB. The gal who was announcing earnings (a joke, OK, a little joke) was constantly mentioning how the various companies were "beating expectations". How friggin' pathetic. INTC's net is a third of what it was last year. That's horrible, yes? No! They beat expectations. What an Alice-In-Wonderland the WS bullsitters and their media flaks, hacks and crackz create for the benefit of the unwary and unwashed. Beat expectations. Hell, that's like saying that Slobodan Milosevic beat expectations because he avoided the Hague/prison for 3 years after his indictment.

Re: . It wasn't the same any more. The fire in the belly had gone down.
Well, I don't recommend a career in politics for you then. You've got to be a lot more resilient and a lot less thin skinned than that.... <g>

BTW, I'm enjoying your comments as least as much as you are enjoying mine. It's a damn mutual admiration society, ferchrissakes.

Cordialement, Le Faineant
