Probably the whales were into help-desk stocks, or networkers.

I remember reading something about a young gorilla whose family had been killed by poachers. Once rescued, she apparently sat by herself for days, sobbing. As best she could; I don't think they produce actual tears. And of course dogs obviously react to the loss of a master, or a companion dog.

Of course they think conceptually! I used to have a cat, and the concepts she came up with were frequently diabolical.
