Sad but very true.

JPR:

You comments indeed are excellent and to the point.But the fact is the criteria seem somehow flawed,though very true. As for the last item,normally these 'friends and confidants' are sent to some 'Banana Republic'[unless of course they are highly qualifed] or the other,example: Shirley Temple to Ghana is one that comes to mind.

Perhaps the best thing to do for any Republic is to pursue their own agenda that are good for their people instead of demanding 'attention' from others,it seems rather frivolous, childish and unbecoming.I know that is too simplistic the way humans and countries are,oh well.

Anyway all I am saying is that consequences of bad foreign policies will come to haunt the countries eventually in spite of what criteria they each use in the selection and appointment of their Ambassadors.
