Corel's spokeswoman, Nicole Sanford, dismissed the commission's investigation as a routine procedure after a big insider sell-off.

''They're doing an investigation. It's just something that's routine and that the OSC (Ontario Securities Commission) usually does with the large stock sales,'' she said. ''There's really nothing out of the ordinary on that front.''
