I don't know you. Although I generally wish you (and everyone else) good fortune, I am not personally moved by your thoughts, actions or circumstances.
While I am a male, how does that dictate that I am not to be concerned about my opinions re. the abortion issue - or, make your opinions more valid or weightier than mine.
Lizzie, it is my belief that abortion is a murderous act and gender doesn't have jack to do with it. I will add that like some other kinds of killing (self-defense, justifiable homicide, warfare, legal execution, law enforcement), abortion is sometimes justified.
Hey, if carrying a child gives you the right to murder it, then, if I am the sole provider for my family, should I be allowed to abuse it as suits my convenience? In fact, if I am the father of an unborn child, do I have the same right to kill it as the mother (assuming no consequence to the mother's physical health)?
Your last sentence makes absolutely NO sense unless YOU have actually adopted a down syndrome child, or supported your daughter in a decision to give birth and give the child up for adoption (or personally given birth involving those circumstances). If you have, you have my great admiration.
