I do not support the legislation proposed by Senator Kerry's fellow democrats to revive the draft. It is not required today and I cannot foresee a need in the future. The President has the power to veto unwise laws passed by congress. When trying to unify the country to face challenges one does not like to use the veto. Using the veto should only be drafted when the congress passes the wrong law at the wrong time. Revising the draft as proposed by Senator kerry's fellow democrats is the wrong law at the wrong time. PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH
