Not a valid comparison:

In the Saddam Regime, information was suppressed and there was 1) No accountability, and 2) No recourse for attrocities committed against persons by the system.

Under Rumsfeld the accountability is obtained through the system as we have inspection by the Western Red Cross, reporting by a free press, human rights policy enacted by a civilian government that governs the actions and accountability of our military. There is thorough investigation into any allegations and complete accountability for all activity.

There is also the freedom to make false allegation, promote unsubstantiated rumor and gossip, forward mendacious rhetoric and fundamentally undermine the constructive efforts of good intention. Costly as that may be, it comes with the general regard for a free and open system of society such as we enjoy in the USA.
