miss penni, We need to think of the net as more than just another form of letter writing. Email is that, but we need to be aware that every post here is seen by many eyes.

As you point out, the net is a readily available place for people with matching needs to find each other. The net makes matches possible that never would have otherwise occured. I am not blaming the net. Every new advance in technology has inspired new crimes. The automobile didn't make Bonnie and Clyde bank robbers, but it made bank robbing possible.

I think there will be far more good than bad from it. I wonder if "space marriages" will be more enduring. A lot of people in 3D get married for trivial reasons, and then get to know the person. Now it is reversed.
