One way to look at gold is by asking yourself this.... If I have a great deal of liquid wealth in almost any currency around the world where do I put it for safety? Am I prepared to put in US treasuries? Am I willing to leave it in a bank?Which bank? which country? Which currency? What happens if a bank account is frozen? How do I access the funds? Is it transportable if I need to leave my country? Is there any mutual funds, hedge funds, institutions that I can trust big portions of my money to?
Big money is not looking for return on capital they are looking for return OF capital. Gold answers most if not all of those concerns. Inflation is not the reason gold is moving at all. Instability and wealth preservation are the only reasons gold is moving up.
