Isn't that the Swiftvets' point? Kerry did put in for a Purple Heart, for 3 of them in fact.

I have no doubt these new pro-Kerry vets are sincere. They are basically saying that Kerry did so fight and fight well. The Swiftvets don't deny he fought, though they argue about some of his actions. What really gets them is what Kerry wrote up after the action, and these new vets have no knowledge of it.
