My impression is forming that Kerry performed honorably but not very capably in battle, that he did his duty but wasn't that good at combat. Perhaps uw can comment.

For my part, I don't really care about that part. Kerry can be a capable officer as far as I'm concerned. It's his appallingly poor judgement in thinking that he could run as the Big Hero and this would make everybody keep quiet about his Jane Fonda period that I'm interested in.
