Using AccuTest, SEEC Clients Have Tested Over 175 Million Lines Of Code To Date
PITTSBURGH, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Today SEEC, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEEC) announced that its comprehensive, integrated testing solution, AccuTest(TM) has been selected by major customers in the financial and telecommunications industries, and by several state government agencies. The new customers include MCI, the State of Washington, Michigan Department of State, plus another major telecommunications corporation and a leading global credit card company. Using AccuTest, customers have tested over 175 million lines of code to date.
SEEC AccuTest addresses all phases of mainframe COBOL testing, whether as part of on-going reengineering efforts or in conjunction with year 2000 renovations. AccuTest combines the breadth and accuracy of SEEC's remediation, test coverage and path analysis tools with powerful third-party test management, capture/playback and date simulation tools to create a seamless testing solution for mainframe legacy systems.
"Testing is an integral part of any reengineering project, and it often is the most difficult and costly part," said Ravi Koka, president and CEO of SEEC. "SEEC AccuTest helps IS organizations reduce the time and expense of testing, in the process accelerating the redeployment of applications. This message has hit home in the context of year 2000 projects, but customers also recognize the long-term value of the AccuTest solution, which will continue to pay dividends long after the year 2000 problem is solved."
Nanda Nandkishore, consultant for Millennium Consulting, Inc., stated, "In the Year 2000 compliance effort, testing and validation is the most expensive and time-consuming phase, estimated to be approximately half of the total effort. Most corporations are ill-prepared for testing due to the lack of methodology, inadequate test data, and mostly manual procedures. SEEC's AccuTest is ideal because it provides a high level of automation, a testing discipline, validation capability, verification of adequacy of test data, and helps create additional test data."
