. I think the reasonable solution to the commencement prayer problem was to allow a Unitarian or Ethical Culture representative to offer a reflection on the usual rotating basis as other clergy. How about a philosophical reflection on the meaning/s of life, ethics, community, responsibility, or other such, by an atheist or agnostic? Would you "allow" that? Readings from great philosophers might be included.
