Letter to DOJ:

There were several very interesting things about that letter. First, Sony and Compaq were there. I wonder if Compaq's Pfeiffer got any promises from Microsoft in return for signing on the dotted line. I like Pfeiffer, he's not afraid of pushing back when Microsoft and Intel push him around, and he's big enough that they can't afford to crush him. Another interesting thing was that I didn't see any name from IBM in that list, or am I missing something. The last interesting thing, and most depressing, is that the letter doesn't appear to have made one iota of difference in MSFT's stock slide, which is annoying to those like me with margined MSFT positions.
