I don't own and I have never owned any shares of BRCM and BRCD. I follow both as prospects. I believe that competitive position, sustainable competitive advantages, and barriers to entry are the most important fundamental factors in tech investing. I question your comparison of competitive positions because BRCD is facing CSCO's move into storage. I don't think BRCM faces as formidable a competitor and I don't believe that BRCD has sustainable competitive advantages. I appreciate any comments you may want to address to this.
