you got to be kidding. look at spector's voting record. democrats kept him in office. he is a liberal and had every intent to vote for stimulus bill.. He never thought it would hurt him like it did. i immediately sent off sn email to him , notifirf him he will not get my vote in next election. i believe he got thousands like that memo. i believe i posted his response on the political thread a month ago if you care to read his response. second he already supported union card check bill theory last year and with the uproar of the stimulus bill he thought he would balance his supporters by not voting for card check.. instead he pissed off the union who for the last six weeks, daily, put on political ads, on all local tv stations, saying how great Spector was to vote for stimulus bill and it would create 300,000 jobs. he's an 80 year old guy who will not let go of his office.. he knew he couldn't get elected next time around after taking polls in pa as a republican.. next he asked the state legislature to allow independents to vote in primary election. He figured if independents could vote in republican primary he could win. of course that option was immediately rejected. his only hope was to run as a democrat because that is where the majority of his votes will come from. now poor chris Matthews couldn't run in pa. as a democrat. i wonder how many more that were planning to run are really piss off. i doubt toomey can beat him next time either if Spector runs on democrat ticket. toomey's only chance is the economy being really screwed up during the next election.
