Encompass Adds Service Offering With OAKLEAF Waste Management Investment

HOUSTON, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Encompass Services Corporation (NYSE: ESR), the largest facilities services company in the United States, today announced it has made a minority equity investment in, and signed a strategic alliance agreement with, OAKLEAF Waste Management, LLC.

OAKLEAF manages waste disposal contracts and provides service management functions for large, multi-site customers in the retail, restaurant, hotel, manufacturing and property management industries. The company offers a full e-commerce interface enabling on-line bidding, consolidated invoicing, electronic billing and payment options, and service monitoring. Counting Pier 1 Imports, Petco and Saks among its 120-plus customers, OAKLEAF manages over 40,000 locations.

Joe Ivey, president and chief executive officer of Encompass, said, "OAKLEAF brings a high-value addition to our service offering portfolio. Their customers have achieved a 5-25% savings on waste and recycling expenses, a benefit we want to provide to our customers. In turn, access to OAKLEAF's impressive customer base gives Encompass another national channel through which our electrical, mechanical and cleaning services can be delivered."

"We are enthusiastic about the natural cross-selling opportunities inherent in this relationship," said Jim Barnes, president of OAKLEAF. "Our clients appreciate our one-stop, multi-site coverage and will recognize this leverage in Encompass as a single national source for multiple facilities services. At the same time, the buying power, price advantage and superior service secured by OAKLEAF should be of interest to Encompass' national account customers
