Aug. 8 / -- Spectrum Holobyte Inc announced today the development
of a new Windows(R) 95 strategy game set in the BattleTech(R) game universe, BattleTech: Honor Bound. The computer game is being developed by Chicago-based FASA Interactive Technologies, a division of the Virtual World Entertainment Group. BattleTech: Honor Bound will be published under the MicroProse(R) brand and distributed worldwide. The game will be debuted at GEN CON in the FASA Interactive Technologies booth,#628, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 8-12, 1996.

Set on the planet of Coventry, the player assumes the role of an experienced mechwarrior in command of a growing
unit, or lance, of BattleMechs. The player's goal is to battle against a superior foe, the Jade Falcon Clan, to regain
his homeland from the control of this fierce enemy. The battles are intense, and the pressure to grow the unit and
build its overall skill and capabilities until it represents a formidable force against the Clans is even greater.

BattleTech: Honor Bound is a real-time strategy game of tactical combat and resource management; tactical combat
occurs in an isometric view of the battlefield with realistic BattleMechs and terrain. In real-time the player takes
command of a unit of BattleMechs, manages its supplies, manipulates its organization, and manages the repair,
upgrade, and modifications of its units. Up to twenty-four BattleMechs can be involved in combat.

This is a mission-based strategy game featuring spectacular SVGA graphics, intense real-time gameplay and multiplayer capability including local area network and modem options.
