Jan, I think the VRD technology originally was concieved in the University of Washington virtual reality lab for that very purpose. I saw a picture of the helmet mounted display that Boeing was showing to the armed forces, the device appears to have a vcr size black box with a fiber optic cable feeding a fiberoptic connector and then feeding a helmet. The article stated that Boeing was committed to the helmet display and was pitching it to the Airforce. The project office was Boeing St Louis, I wonder if the project was alive before the Boeing/ McDonnell merger. If it was then customer X could have been Mac. Any thoughts.
