Just returned from PC EXPO and visited the CPQ booth ... positioned reasonably well just across from MSFT.
Saw the AERO ... interesting
Saw an unreleased (expected in mid-end July) small lightweight mobile notebook as yet unnumbereed: 1) approx 3lb (weight not english money .. victor), 2) 333MHz (either P II or Celeron), 3) 4 or 6 Mb hard drive, 4) 64meg RAM (can go to 128), 5) 56K V90 built-in modem (mini PC), 6) 11.3" TFT screen, 7) 3 1/2" floppy separate, 8) single minimal quality speaker on bottom .... Optional mobile expansion unit which hold DVD, 3 1/2", Premier sound quality and about an additional pound in weight. Looked very nice until I saw similar ones elsewhere .. for instance SONY has a real cool one of similar size, weight but has a built-in swivel camera. Got no prices nor material from CPQ.
