My impression is that the first time O'Neil got on the political radar screen was in 1971 when he debated Kerry on the Dick Cavett Show.

If O'Neil was Colson's beard, hand-picked only to deal with Kerry in 1971 in behalf of Nixon, why does O'Neil persist, independently I might add, in making sure that the other side of Kerry's Janus face is seen by the electorate?

I suspect that sincerity and force of belief is the reason, but I'm sure the Dems think otherwise.
