Actually, has been tough using Sto too. July has been a little tough on me as I just didn't feel like I was in my element and was in cash most of the time. In fact, with the ALL Phleet coming back into port yesterday, the managed accounts are 75% cash. Got about 20% in MRK, which has yet to become cooperative.
Interestingly, in these accounts, I only had two round trips since 7/2. But, since then they are up 2.5% and the S&P is down 1.9%, so I win. :o) YTD, I'm dramatically behind the Plan at 35.4%, but, again, compared to the performance benchmark (11.1%), I'll take it. Particularly, since I've got most of the next five months to focus on the issue.
Interesting tid bit -- I opened an account 4/22 and was doing my sums earlier. Since 4/22 the S&P is up a staggering .5%. A real barn burner! And, to think, the fun is just beginning.
