I'm adding TRIB & QDEL to my watch list. Risk is high on these two, but risk reward looks good. Besides I like watching paint dry. QDEL has some new board blood. Both fit in size and products. Both are depressed, and priced accordingly, but profitable. Nothing a cost cutter can't fix. BIO-RADS recent debt offering was 200 million. The flu severity after all the media scare of vaccine shortages was lighter than expected. Nothing in the works that I know of. However I have a feeling the words Bird Flu will be big later in 2005 & 2006. I think it a reasonable assumption that one of these three are working on a test for it.
