The other side of the Looking Glass. The "Word Energy Council" is sometimes described as "mainstream" and they seem to take comfort from:

- ultra-deep sea oil exploration;

- the economist view that the more we need oil the more we will find (!)(demand begets supply aka the "Tinkerbell theory"); and

- Crude prices could decline over the long term due to technology increases.

I'm not saying I believe any of that (after all I made up the Tinkerbell line) but it's curious to see a discussion of energy without a bellcurve in sight.
