Gasoline prices are skyrocketing because of the evacuation demand. Gas prices are up to $5 in Texas. I think the government authorized the release of the SPR after hurricane katrina. I wouldn't be surprised if they released some addition supplies to handle the string of hurricanes the past couple weeks to handle the transition. They certainly need some money to fund the growing list of bailouts. Time to tap the piggy bank.<g>
