Microvision Delivers Helmet-Mounted Display to Saab and Ericsson Saab Avionics
Virtual Retinal Display(TM) Technology to Be Used in Aircraft Simulators
SEATTLE, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Microvision, Inc. (Nasdaq:MVIS) today announced it delivered a high resolution helmet-mounted display to Saab and Ericsson Saab Avionics for use in aircraft simulators. The demonstration system incorporates Microvision's patented Virtual Retinal Display(TM) (VRD(TM)) technology which provides a high level of brightness, contrast and overall resolution. The delivery was made on schedule to Saab and Ericsson Saab Avionics in support of their joint effort with Microvision to develop VRD technology for use in fighter aircraft.
