The last two Disney animated releases,
1997's ''Hercules'' and 1996's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame,'' each opened to about $21 million in wide release.

In 1995, ''Toy Story'' opened to $29.1 million and
''Pocahontas'' to $29.5 million.
''The Lion King'' opened to $40.9 million in 1994.

btw: X-Files won this weekend with $31 mil

So the "Chinese cross-dresser" (I laughed at that one) seems to fall short of the big Disney hits. No mention of Little Mermaid or B&B here though...
