TopCat, right off the top of my head:

- He says crazy things that are just designed to rile up support, such as his tax proposals. He'll never follow through on them because they're not pragmatic at all. (For example, where's he going to cut the spending? Not SS and Medicare, he claims.)

- His commercials against Romney uses "language of the left" that pretty much destroys the case for conservatism. And for what? To defeat the "frontrunner"? How freakin' selfish.

- Said commercials are paid for by a PAC that blatantly violates the spirit of campaign finance rules. People who hate George Soros and his influence on politics should not excuse said tactics coming from a conservative firebrand, lest they invite more rich liberals to do the same. And believe me, Democrats have no shortage of funds from left-wing wackjobs.

- His marital problems are a huge stain on the kind of character Gingrich demonstrates. Remember a time when "character counts"?

- Newt politically aligned himself with the global warming leftists for a while. He claimed that he wanted to find pragmatic conservative solutions to climate change, which I agree with, but he didn't provide any. That just smacked of political opportunism, a way for him to find a seat at the table set by Al Gore.

- Finally, it's clear that Newt will use scorched-earth tactics to advance, using all of the anti-Obama anger to further his ambitions. I don't think Obama is that great of a president, but I don't hate the guy either, so maybe you can see why I'm not turned on by Newt's inflammatory rhetoric.
