AMEX to replace seven stocks in high-tech index
CHICAGO, Dec 9 (Reuter) - The American Stock Exchange (AMEX) said Monday it would add Netscape Communications Corp and six others to the Morgan Stanley High-Technology 35 index .MSH , replacing seven existing components.
The exchange said the other six replacements include Ascend Communications Inc , Cascade Communications Corp , Peoplesoft Inc , SGS Thomson Microelectronics , Sun Microsystems Inc and U S Robotics Inc .
Those seven would replace Apple Computer Inc , AutoDesk Inc Broderbund Software Inc , Cabletron Systems Inc , EMC Corp , Novell Inc and Synopsys Inc .
The changes will become effective after the close of trading on December 20, AMEX said.
The AMEX trades options on the index, which was up 5.19 at 406.18 Monday morning. |
