Nonsense. 1st of all while they are different it wasn't "a spring rain" compared to "a monsoon". Secondly even if the difference was so huge, it still wouldn't change the fact that Sullivan is effectively blaming Bush for both recessions, giving Obama a pass for everything that's happened since he took over, and Clinton a pass for passing on a smaller mess to Bush, or the more important point that Obama is net negative on jobs, while Sullivan is claiming a positive total for Obama.

More generally all this "everything is Bush's fault" from you or the left more generally is getting rather silly at this point after Obama has been in office for 3 years.

"Everything is Obama's fault" would be rather silly as well, he did inherit a recession, there are longer term issues from well before Bush, and also short term issues that have nothing to do with any presidential decision, but I wouldn't try to make such an argument and Karl wasn't arguing that either.
