Oh bummer! You make it sound like it should be an election instead of an appointment.
You do know that Arlen started out as a Democrat and only became a Republican so he could be elected, don't you? Sort of like New York Mayor Bloomberg. So now he is back where he started. You might say he has come home.
Polls show as a Democrat he is even beating Ridge by 3 points.
But then again Ridge hasn't been campaigning.
