Dave Eddy (TPII savior), the relevant quote was:

Then, two years ago, he read a Front Lines column about David Eddy, a software marketer pleading with corporate America to address the issue. Though already a great-grandfather, Mr. Bemer swung into action.

Dave, shame on you for scaring our retired senior citizens back to the work force-- and a great-grandfather at that! Next thing you know, TEDennis and Paul E. Thomas will be joining the Sr. PGA tour, and Mad Monk will be running marathons again.

As for corporate America addressing the Y2K issue, seems to me they are going through a "let's try to fix it ourself, first" stage right now. The SPG Conference next week should be our first indication as to how well they think they've done. From what I hear, I'd give them a C+ so far. How about you?
