If someone wants to make $90k per year, then get a job that adds enough value and can't be replicated by cheap labor and therefore some employer will pay you $90k. Evidently in a lot of cases tech jobs don't fit that description anymore.

I just got an E mail from a company that ships my products, noting that longshoreman are once again holding up outgoing ocean shipments at the Long Beach Port. Apparently the longshoreman are upset because their employer wants to cut them down from five guys standing around watching one guy operate a crane to four guys standing around watching one guy operate a crane. They make an average of $107,781 per year. Perhaps unionized blue collar work will have the last laugh here. These guys seem to have it wired so they cannot be replaced by cheap labor, and they don't have to worry about their jobs being outsourced to India.

Regards, Huey
