Dan-- It means that for a representative selection of companies in the semiconductor sector, for every $100 of product billed in November, $115 of bookings were received. It's based on a 3-month rolling average. It isn't really very helpful, but has been of enormous psychological importance over the last year (of sinking semi prices). This one's not cosmic, but not bad, and so should be seen as mildly positive for the techs today. People in the industry want to change over to something more meanful and comprehensible, which I think would be a good idea. Janice
