William Koch wrote an interesting article about the Nantucket proposal. He suggests based on his analysis that assuming current government subsidies persist it would raise the cost of Nantucket residents. He continued to say that loss of subsidies would require an annual increase of roughly $1300 per resident annually to sustain the wind farm. Koch industries is a privately held pipeline and oil sands company with many other industrial investments.
