Look at another angle, Does this mean China Unicom indeed will wait for 1x? Since Huawei claims to have 1x bts, and Datang is upgrading their motorola system to 1x with Nortel, they could get 1x bts built and wait for 1x handset. The service only expected at end of this calender year, about 6 months behind anyway.
