OT RE: Clinton and the Economy You will recall that Clinton was attacked in the last election for imposing the largest tax increase in human history. Some economists believe that that tax increase extended the life of the bull market by reducing the need for monetary restrictions and also contributed to generating the current budget surpluses. True, it was aimed largely at the rich, and, as expected, they complained bitterly. It didn't hit me.
