It's a typical mistake made on SI when people start on a thread.
they need to start back about 5 months and catch up<g>

So, I couldn't agree with you more.
If God told me to buy a benz.... I would probably doubt it and pray about it for quite some time. I would even ask Him to do one of those tablet things like He did with Moses for the commandments.
"God...can you give me this buy a Benz thing in writing please<g>"

Anyway, there are post that descibe this in detail .... I posted them so I know.

I would be nice if He just rained the money from Heaven to finance the gospel.... But, in Acts He didn't do it that way and it's the same today. It's great becasue many chrches were very poor and paul still commended them for their sacrificial giving... Macendonea wasn't it??

I'm criticized for this. But, I wouldn't hesitate to ask God what to do with the money I'm blessed with. I also, wouldn't hesitate
to ask about what to invest it in. I also, have the faith to know He wants me to succeed and build churches.
But, I'm not stupid. Jesus set the standard on this. it's obvious that many poor widows give 100 more than I do becasue they give out of their proverty and modest means. It's not the amount of the gift that matters.
it's how much the gift was in relation to what you have and what He told you to give. No matter how many churches the Lord has me build
their will be some poor widow who out gave me 1000 to 1.

I like to give.. I cannot help it. Only SI and God knows I gave anything.... there's no headlines and my name is only steve.
