OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 2000--Joseph Cala,
Chairman and CEO of Cala Corporation (OTCBB:CCAA), today announced
that Cala Corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Cala of
Italy, has been invited to bid on the right to operate the historic
spas of Montecatini Terme in Tuscany, Italy.
The spas of Montecatini are known throughout the world for their
beauty and beneficial health effects. Mr. Cala stated that aside from
bringing Cala Corporation millions of dollars in potential revenue,
winning the right to manage the spas of Montecatini will brand Cala
Corporation with enormous prestige in the resort and spa business
community.
Montecatini, nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, actually has
more hotel rooms than residents. With nearly 18,000 rooms available
daily, Montecatini attracts an elite market share from across the
globe. Mr. Cala stated that a successful bid would not only be an
important step in establishing Cala Corporation as a force in the
hospitality market but would also create enormous spin-off
opportunities, including the potential acquisition of neighboring
resort and spa properties.
