IBM is targeting the corporate market with their NCs. The servers upon which the data will be stored will be within the corporate firewall. Thus the issue of privacy of personal data is not really an issue (except perhaps with regards to personal email exchanged during work hours, but this can be tapped into at the mail server by the company anyways).
