Fred, I was of the opinion that the board has been reining Jerry in from his usual excesses. I agree AMD would be better off with no Jerry.
As to manufacturing in the past they did have problems but they seem to have solved them at all K6 fabs, are there not excexx K6 in stock? are they all slow ones?. The dresden fab???jury is still out.
There needs to be some kind of class action lawsuit to kill omnibus proxy rules as they allow the incumbent board to vote all the shares of those who do not bother to return the proxy statement signed and directed to some end. This allows widely held companeis to be controlled by small groups like Jerry heads, to the detriment of us all. The companies insisted on that rule as they wanted to forestall any shareholder activism, like GE had a few years ago, from shaking up their little fiefs. You can still overthrow the board, but unless you go to a large amount of trouble and contact each shareholder individually and get their proxy and they add up to over 50% you will lose. Jerry just needs5% plus the omnibux proxy. get rid of thaat and Jerry is toast, in fact there would be quite a feast of toast on various exchanges for the next few years.

Bill .
