hockey, gene is certainly a choppy one, though maybe not as bad as ngen. got out of all my gene this week at 63. would consider buying back in around 48, the 20 day ema. that seems to be a line that a lot of these bios either hold above or become great buys at or below. (see gztc yesterday.)

the valuations are breath-taking, though i doubt if all of them are too high. you simple have to judge the science involved, the pipeline, etc. since i don't have a clue about these things i follow the advice of others i have developed some trust in; there are many such individuals on si. i know, never trust what you read on the threads, except there really are some extremely knowledgable and level-headed folk on these bio-threads. the process is as much in judging their value as in judging the values they place on stocks.

i have essentially become a trader in this market. why not? i keep getting great returns, e.g. into aria on advice from si at 18, out at 35, in at 30. it seems to me the only way to play now. find the stocks you covet and get in and out as best you can. it is said that you can't time the market, but i do believe you can time individual stocks enough to make money and remain positioned. all the best, don
