If the BJP gets 190 and the Congress some 150, then the "others" will get the remaining 200 or so. That opens up the room for ALL kinds of possibilities.

You are including BJP allies such as the DMK, TDP and Trinamool Congress among "others". If the BJP together with its allies get more than 300 seats, a likely scenario, then the political situation is going to be stable. Mamata Banarjee, Babugaru, and Kalaignar are not likely to withdraw support to a BJP government, unlike "Amma".
